TEXEL INC - Architects and Manufacturers of Filters and Other Technical Nonwovens

Formerly associated with the production of felt only, the name Texel dates back to 1967, a time when the company belonged to the Chassé family of Beauce. During the mid 1980s, ADS (Angers, Drouin, Simard), a cabinet of consulting engineers, acquired the non-woven materials manufacturer. ADS purchased other fabrication enterprises whose factories manufactured composite material parts. Soon, ADS chose to dispense with its consulting engineers section, and eventually, the company decided to concentrate solely on technical non-woven textiles and the integration of vertical production.

MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT: Expense or Investment?

Despite current technological advances, manufacturing companies continue to manage maintenance on a corrective basis. Why?
