Our Services We are the most complete technical service organization devoted specifically to geosynthetic and engineered construction materials in Canada. Thanks to the expertise of our personnel, the Geosynthetics Divison provides laboratory testing, technical support, research and development services, as well as training and dissemination of technological know-how. All services are guided by our ISO 9001:2008 certification. Testing Testing Our customers can benefit from our 2000 square meters of laboratory space. Testing services cover product characterization, physical, mechanical, hydraulic and inflammability analysis, as well as performance testing. The Geosynthetics Division is especially renowned for its expertise in areas of material-environment interaction (filtration testing, stability of structures, etc.) and durability (oxidation, stress-cracking, hydrolysis, creep, microbiological degradation, etc). The Geosynthetics Division also acts as a third party independent laboratory. Our laboratories are ISO 17025 accredited by various world-renowned agencies. Tests can be conducted in accordance with a large number of procedures governed by various standardization organizations (BNQ, ASTM, ONGC, ISO, EN, AFNOR, DIN, BS, GRI and others). Our active involvement in various standardization organizations (CGSB, ASTM, and ISO) also provides our clients with results that conform to the latest recognized industry standards. If needed, special tests intended to simulate specific usage conditions can also be developed: tests using prototypes, high or low temperature tests, tests involving a combination of various stress, etc. Expertise, technical support and engineering The Geosynthetics Division provides expert consulting and technical support services such as assistance in the design and specification of plastics, textiles or geosynthetic materials in civil engineering structures, as well as certification of material durability for given applications, failure analyses and the development of technical manuals. With regards to product manufacturing or process development, we can intervene in resolving atypical problems, audit processing, sourcing, or other production challenges. Research and Development The Geosynthetics Division helps its partners with product and new application developments. This may take the form of one or more of the following services: project design, funding support, market research, definition of technical specifications, identification of performance requirements, standards and specifications compliance, prototyping, pilot production runs, performance evaluations and many more. Access to funding is available to our Canadian customers via our government partners with whom we have established a solid partnership over the years. Training and Information Services Regular updating of technical and statutory information relating to products used in civil engineering constitutes one of many challenges for engineers and specifiers. To meet these demands, we have developed InfoGEOS.com, a complete Internet portal which broadcasts industry specific information to thousands of users in the geosynthetics community around the world. The "Geosynthetic Forums" organized by our division throughout Canada significantly contribute to technical and commercial advancements in the field. Finally, our custommade training programs help organizations and individuals acquire the necessary skills to keep them ahead of the game. |
