Certification

As part of our support to industry, we are constantly adding new certification services to our range. For example, CTT Group is the only organisation in Canada to be certified for avionic and general transport flammability R&D and testing, and we also now possess the full range of equipment and know-how to undertake all the testing required for firefighters uniforms, and are certified NFPA 1971 (Standard on Protective Ensemble for Structural Fire Fighting).

Within our geosynthetic  and construction materials activities, we are especially focused on the formulation of geosynthetic polymers, excellence in drainage materials and technologies, and product characterization. For example, we have the necessary skills to undertake in-depth product durability and environmental-interaction studies. We can test your materials and support your applications for product evaluation or certification by the following agencies:

• CCMC : Canadian Construction Material Centre
• ICC-ES : International Codes Council - Evaluation Services 
• BNQ : Bureau de Normalisation du Québec 
• CGSB : Canadian General Standards Board
• CE Marking : Essential for serving the European Market

Product Specification Development

Part of CTT Group’s mission is the development of product specifications in strategic fields of the Canadian expertise, in collaboration with our partners. Producers and end-users can then reference these documents in bidding and contracts.

Technical committees

Technical committee develop specification documents and communicate electronically. Committees proceedings are publicly available, but participation is limited to members. Committee members are producers and users of the relevant product and their work is facilitated by CTT Group.
